THE PHILOSOPHY

Follow the rhythm, not the noise.

Following the Moon is rooted in Daoist philosophy and the rhythms of nature. The moon embodies Yin — stillness, reflection, nourishment and the quiet power of turning inward.

As the moon waxes and wanes, it reminds us that life is cyclical rather than linear. There are times for movement and stillness, effort and release, cultivation and rest.

Through Qigong, Neigong and meditation, we learn to become more sensitive to these rhythms — developing a deeper awareness of the body, breath, mind and energy, while gradually quietening some of the noise of modern life.

AWARENESS
Become more sensitive to what is happening within you.

CULTIVATION
Develop the body, breath, attention and Qi through practice.

STILLNESS
Create space beyond the constant activity and noise of the mind.

THE PRACTICE

Qigong, Neigong & the internal arts.

Following the Moon explores Qigong, Neigong, meditation and deeper aspects of internal cultivation through movement, posture, breath, awareness and stillness.

While these practices are often separated into different categories, the boundaries are not always clear-cut. I often use Qigong as an umbrella term for the wider system of internal practice — incorporating elements of Qigong, Neigong and Neidan.
